What This Practice Is
It is an invitation to notice participation — the simple, ongoing meeting between body, attention, and world. Nothing needs to be achieved. Nothing needs to change. The practice is complete as soon as you arrive.
Why Wonder
Wonder is not excitement or awe, though those may arise.
Here, wonder means allowing experience to disclose itself without being reduced to explanation or purpose.
In everyday life, attention is often trained to extract meaning, solve problems, or move toward outcomes. Wonder loosens that habit and allows experience to be encountered on its own terms.
Curiosity as Openness
The questions offered in this practice are invitations, not tasks.
They create space for experience to unfold rather than directing it toward answers. If nothing responds, the space itself is doing the work.
Curiosity here is a way of meeting the moment — receptive, patient, and lightly held.
Embodiment and Participation
This practice begins with the body because experience always does.
Breath, sensation, contact, and perception are not secondary to meaning — they are how meaning arises at all. To notice the body is not to turn inward, but to recognize where you meet the world.
You are not observing experience from outside it. You are participating in it.
Allowing Meaning to Emerge
Meaning may arise during the moment, or it may arrive later, quietly and without announcement. Sometimes it does not take form at all. Each of these is complete.
This practice simply creates the conditions in which meaning can emerge — or not — in its own way and time.
Allowing a moment to simply be can itself be an act of trust: a willingness to let experience stand without being turned into explanation.
How Often to Practice
There is no recommended frequency.
This practice can be done for a few minutes or lingered with longer. It can be returned to daily, occasionally, or only once. Its value does not depend on repetition.
If You Feel Restless or Distracted
Restlessness, wandering attention, or impatience are not obstacles here.
They are part of what is present. Notice them the same way you would notice sound or temperature — without correction.
Carrying It Forward
What follows this practice unfolds on its own.
A quality may carry forward — softness, curiosity, attentiveness — or it may not. Either way is complete.
